However, at a sorority dance, a sister's date dedicated "Lady in Red" to us because I was in a red dress and I guess he was jealous of Jeff (my-now-hubby, then boyfriend). And yes, we did dance, "cheek to cheek". =)Unahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17812619293535500252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6131409629757210790.post-5172432454172113322009-07-16T09:22:24.223-07:002009-07-16T09:22:24.223-07:00Bree- now we know what to bring for snacks next wr...Bree- now we know what to bring for snacks next writer's group.

Debbie- Which song? My touch-stone book growing up that I still will reread occasionally (but can't when hubby is around due to the inevitable tears that are shed) is "Where the Red Fern Grows". Hubby doesn't understand how I can (as he sees it) torture myself with reading it but it is just one of those books that just clings to you.

Ack...are we a book club today? *Gasp* we must stop and start discussing new Iron Chef ingredients like scabs!

Housing developments for the most part give me the heebie-jeebies...like I've been sucked into The Stepford Wives/Twilight Zone or something.Unahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17812619293535500252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6131409629757210790.post-34344477938995800292009-07-15T09:58:48.775-07:002009-07-15T09:58:48.775-07:00I also adored "A Wrinkle in Time" as a y...I also adored "A Wrinkle in Time" as a youth. I remember being so impressed that someone could know the square root of 2 off the top of her head.

Now, the only remembrance I have of the book is of the strange land where all of the balls bounce in sync and everything exists in exact, organized harmony. It gave me the creepy crawlies then.
