She left on a Jet Plane and I don't know when she will be back again

Hi to all of the visitors of Brodi's blog. As she mentioned on Wednesday, Brodi is attending some LA writing conference (either that or she has eloped with Rafa Nadal) and that is why you did not see her post this past Friday. My subject heading is a bit misleading but well worth it as a tribute to the multi-talented and wonderfully dead singer John Denver. Wait, that didn't come out right.

I was expected to step up to the plate and fill in for her on Friday...but since I am a single parent for the weekend, I was too busy working, cleaning, mowing the lawn, jumping on the trampoline with the boys, getting Brodi's car fixed up, biking with the boys, doing the dishes, doing the laundry, learning new dance moves, cooking dinner, doing ab crunches, changing dirty diapers, leaving dirty diapers on our front porch, watching old John Hughes movies, working again, going to park with the boys, playing soccer with the boys, doing pushups (3 of them!) and seeing my brother and his family from DC...well, I didn't get around to writing up her blog. But, I would never make excuse, so please disregard the above activities that prevented me from doing her blog. Brodi will be back on Monday night, so you may not see a post from her until either Monday night, Tuesday or it is up to you to check in often for her latest.

Now, I am going to head on over to my blog and get up a new post on our visit to the Gilgal Park in Salt Lake City. I attached a couple of pics on Brodi's site so that you can see our fabulous 2 boys (boys B and C). Thanks for reading Brodi's blog. She is as good as it gets and I am glad that you are all seeing her in her full glory (funny, smart and hott!). Keep on reading and tell your friends about her...Brodi simply rocks.

  1. Wow, Sam sounds like a great guy! Yes, thats me talking to myself...pathetic, I know.

I hope that you are having a great time. Sorry I don't have more time to comment or leave a better post on your site...I am just so frakkin' busy running this household over the weekend. Hope you are enjoying the California sun.

  2. Sam- you totally do rock! Although, since you posted on a Saturday, and no one reads my blog over the weekends, I'm afraid your very clever blog will remain in the nether-regions of interspace. (Don't ask where the nether-regions of space are. you do not want to know).

Thank you for sharing the pics of the boys, and for letting them play on a sculpture of Joseph Smith as a Sphinx. It doesn't get any better than that.

  3. I for one will check your blog whenever I darn well want. :) I so wish I was hangin' with Brodi this weekend. Although maybe thats too much work and not enough play for me.

Sam nice work with the the 3 pushups. Haha!! I cranked out 5 the other day. And not those girly push ups either. It was all on the toes. Good think I only gotta do that like once a year or something.
    Take Luck.

  4. oh sam, you are a funny man!!!

as in "you make me laugh"!

  5. Actually Debbie, on a good day, I can pump out about 6 push ups.

    Dorien--Thanks. I aim to please.

    Bro--are you home yet?

  6. Sam, I'm so disappointed in you. You're late with your post. I can't believe you put your family before posting on Brodi's blog. ;) And, I can't believe you didn't post the winner of the free book contest! I was so hoping for another book and some locks, lol. Just kidding. I think it's great that you post on Brodi's blog for her. And, your boys are adorable!

Anyway, Brodi I can wait to hear about your trip! According to your Facebook statuses, it sounded like you had a good time and got to meet a lot of cool authors!

  7. Sam - I think you did a great job of filling in! Thanks! And the pictures are GREAT!

Push-ups? You ate three push-ups? I can only eat one, but they are tasty! =)

Can't wait to hear about Brodi's trip!
