Hi Everybody!

Thank you so much for all the kind words, condolences, prayers and thoughts on my behalf. I have felt so supported and loved!

A few things to let you know about in regards to upcoming events:

  • I've had to cancel the book signing at the Rainbow Blvd. Barnes and Noble in Las Vegas tomorrow.
  • But I WILL be at the Mysterious Galaxy Book Store in San Diego on Saturday morning, 11:00 am, for their birthday bash.
  • NEW EVENT: I will also be in Oregon coming up on June 2nd for the YA Book Festival in The Dalles, Oregon, at Klindt's Bookstore. Hope to see you there.
My dad's send-off yesterday was simple and sweet, just like he is. We are extremely grateful for the bonus four and a half years we got with him since his diagnosis. They were good years, and he was healthy for most of them.

Now if we could just figure out how to navigate a world he's not a part of. :)

Love to you all.

  1. If you ever need to talk or a shoulder to cry on or someone to go lunch with or ANYTHING, I'm here for you, okay? One quote that Megan had printed o a picture of her and Josh at his funeral was something close to this: "The best way to have a piece of Heaven in your home is to have someone you love be in Heaven." It's a small comfort to have right now, but I know your sweet dad is going to be as close to you all as he can be, as often as possible.

  6. He's still a part of this world, you just can't see him. I know--I KNOW--he's walking with you, watching over you, and helping orchestrate thing in your life from the other side.

I'm happy for you for the extra 4.5. God bless you, Brodi. My heart is with you.

  9. Brodi - the service was beautiful, happy and so celebratory. I dittoed your Dad's friend, you and Erin were amazing. Your talk was perfect, truly. I'm so grateful to have known your Dad. And what a blessing that he was able to be at your launch party, zoomed in on your face the entire time. ;) No doubt he will still be aware of your success, still a part of your wonderful life. Keeping you in my prayers. xo

  10. He's still in this world. Every quiet moment, gentle breeze and ray of sunshine, that's him showing you he's still supporting you in everything you do. You ladies sure did an outstanding job and I am glad we could make it. I think family is everything, even though we aren't always around... (I'm working on that one, hopefully this summer's reunion??) Love you and continue to pray!

  15. There's a YA book festival in The Dalles? What the what? I grew up in that area (well, 30 miles west of there, where it's much greener and prettier) and nothing that cool EVER happened in TD. Man, I might have to make a special trip home on June 2nd ...
