Just Like Bella, I, too, have a Sun and a Moon

Did y'all see how my main squeeze Rafa Nadal won Wimbledon yesterday? It was the perfect ending to a weekend that started with a showing of Eclipse with the Six.

The whole thing got me thinking I have something common with Bella. I, too, have a Sun and a Moon in my life. (Okay, not really, but it makes for good blog).

My sun is often shirtless (prompting my moon to ask, "Doesn't he own a shirt?)...

Two hours later: Sorry. Got sidetracked for a while after Googling "Rafa Shirtless".

Okay, my sun is often shirtless, while my moon likes to say, "Brodi, stop trying to undress me."

My sun can transform (or "phase") into a monster when he needs extra strength.

My moon has a face like marble: one crack (like a bad haircut) and the whole thing will crumble.

My sun has an animal instinct to bite trophies...
While my moon has a craving for Tiger's Blood slushies. (Although he did have to use his teeth to deliver our son. Okay, it was really scissors for the umbilical cord.) But he has shot a shotgun. Are you scared now?
And just like Bella, I haven't decided who I'm ending up with. Eh, who am I kidding?
Plus, I don't think Rafa's available.

Enjoy the extended holiday weekend! I'll be back Wednesday, with my official Eclipse review. That is, if I get my revisions done. (They're due next week)  How was everyone's 4th of July?

  1. Just got back from fishing with the boys--okay, they fished, I read and took pictures. Yay Federal holidays!

Can't wait to read how you liked Eclipse--I saw it on Saturday with a girlfriend so hubby could be spared the pain of taking me. :)

Mostly, though, I'm happy to hear about your revision deadline. Let me know when I can make a paper chain to countdown to your publication date!

  2. How does Sam like knowing that he's the moon not the sun? Oh wait, that's good if it's like Bella. Sorry, I get confused. ;)

I saw A-Team with my hubby today. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. I thought the actors were awesome and there was a good mix of comedy and action. I highly recommend it!

  3. Robin- I can't wait to make a paper chain myself!

Jenni- Sam feels honored each time I compare him to Rafa. Simply honored. I need to check out the A-Team.

  4. We thought of you every time we checked in with Wimbledon. Fantastic. Sam looks so at home on the range.

  5. So...just like Bella is it not a choice between your sun and your moon but a choice between who you are and who you should be? Because that makes the moon feel so much better about the whole thing...just ask Edward.

    Now get your revisions done.

  6. Just to clarify--I am both the sun and the moon. Rafa is a nice guy, I guess...but I could handle him if a knife fight broke out...or a tennis racket fight broke out. Unless he topspinned my head, then I would be in trouble.

  7. We had a great fourth, spent a long weekend at the beach. I did see Eclipse and I can't wait to see your review of it!

I am a Team Switerland...lucky me, my hubby channels both Edward and Jacob.

  8. Haha, I love that first picture of Sam. Very brooding and mysterious!

  9. Sorry y'all- I'm out of Internet! Looks like I've used up my quota for the month.

    Thanks for the comments.

  10. Oh Rafa, how I enjoy looking at you. I may start watching soccer just to see you, wait tennis? Oh man, I'm not sure I can handle an entire game.
